Descripton
Lehman College is the City University of New York's only four-year college in the Bronx, serving the borough and surrounding region as an intellectual, economic, and cultural center. The National Bureau of Economic Research and the Equality of Opportunity Project ranked it as having the fourth-highest mobility rate in the nation. Lehman is a proud catalyst for economic and social mobility for its students, almost half of whom are first-generation college students.
Recently, the college aimed to promote the catalyst for economic and social mobility by connecting reporters, editors, and producers to individuals who are open to sharing their expertise with media, whether by offering insights on timely issues, commenting on research, or contributing to larger public discussions in their areas of expertise.
To do this, the college decided to design a booklet listing the names of the individuals, their experience, research, and expertise. This booklet would be named "Faculty of Lehman College - Experts for Media", and debuted in 2024 with the first volume.
As I was the one who designed the first booklet, I was tasked with creating the second volume of the booklet. This included designing the book cover and revamping the interior layout, all while making sure to integrate it with the existing brand, color, and identity elements.

Challenges
While doing this project, the main problem I encountered initially was designing the page layout. Seeing how the booklet is text-heavy, I took inspiration from other college media booklets, taking note of their layouts and grids.

Accomplishments
As a result of creating the booklet, the initial volume 1 was shared with over 140 press contacts (producers, editors, writers). Furthermore, it generated inbound media interest, resulting in inquiries about the featured experts for interviews, commentary, and introductions.
The booklet would later be integrated into broader marketing efforts – the expert's book is now prominently featured on our new Press page for easy access by media and stakeholders.
I also made sure to create a replicable format for the booklet, establishing a blueprint for future volumes
